High quality speaker cables give you a better connection between your speakers and hi-fi amplifier or music system to enjoy the best possible sound from your speakers. The positive effect on sound quality from changing your speaker cables from the cheap "bell wire" cables, "giveaway" cables or cheaper cables can be huge and is recommended alongside using good quality
audio cables.
Most speaker cable is supplied "off the reel" by the metre, so simply measure up, work out how much you need for each speaker, and order the total number of metres. When your cable arrives, it's simply a case of cutting it to length, stripping the ends and connecting your speakers to the speaker outputs on your hi-fi amplifier/music system. We recommend "terminating" your speaker cable with high quality banana plugs, spade plugs or BFA plugs (depending on the equipment) for the best quality connection. We also offer various speaker cable termination services if you'd like us to do it for you.
What can you expect by using better quality speaker cable? Better top end clarity, smoother midrange and stronger more tuneful bass. Not sure which cable to choose?
