We realise that it takes a level of trust to order online unless you've bought from us before. We accept thousands of orders online and employ several security measures to keep your information safe.
Extended Validation and SSL Security
When you use the online shopping basket or login to your account, your web browser will switch to secure mode. Security is provided by industry leading Verisign. Payment by card is accepted by Sage Pay (formerly Protx, founded in 2001). When you enter your details, Verisign and Sage Pay utlilise secure socket layer (SSL) technology with minimum 128-bit encryption (anyone trying to intercept the information could make no sense of it), ensuring your personal payment details remain just that.
An EV (Extended Validation) SSL Certificate gives you as a customer more confidence that you are interacting with a trusted Web site and that your information is secure. An EV SSL Certificate triggers high-security Web browsers to display Audio Affair's name in a green address bar and show the name of the Certificate Authority that issued it. The Certificate Authority uses an audited, rigorous authentication method and browsers control the display, making it difficult for phishers and counterfeiters to hijack.
If you pay by card online at Audio Affair, your card details are not copied to us and are kept securely at Sage Pay. Only a senior manager is authorised to view your payment (by logging into Sage Pay using the same SSL and 128-bit encryption) and this only shows the last 4 digits of your card number, meaning we can not charge your card again.
In the unlikely event of unauthorised use of your card, most banks/card issuers will cover the charge.
If you suspect unauthorised use of your card, please contact us immediately.
If you choose to pay by PayPal, check your browser for a secure padlock image and "https" address, indicating that your payment is being sent securely.
In the unlikely event of unauthorised use of your PayPal account, PayPal will investigate and in most cases will reimburse the full payment amount.
If you suspect unauthorised use of your PayPal account, please contact us immediately.
If you choose to pay by cheque or postal order, please send this well disguised (within a separate piece of paper) and send by recorded post if possible.
Please do NOT send cash by post. We can only accept cash payments in store.
Your personal details are kept under the 1998 Data Protection Act.
If you are a UK resident using a UK-issued card for a transaction over £100, you are also covered by Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. This says that if you are defrauded, the card company is equally liable for the debt, meaning they will refund you the money if an unauthorised transaction is placed on your card.
We have been accepting orders online and over the phone for over two years. If you are still in doubt, please contact us for further information.
