Quad Elite CDP is the latest version of Quad's ubiqutous CD player/DAC pre combination, updating the 99 CDP-2, to match the new Elite line-up as the hub of a modern hi-fi system. Far from cosmetic update, the new CDP features significant revisions over the 99 CDP-2, including a new CD transport and servo system. The DAC is a state-of-the-art Crystal 24-bit/192kHz DAC, replacing the 24-bit/96kHz chip used by its predecessor.

As a concept, the Elite CDP makes sense for anyone with a CD collection and selection of other sources that offer digital outputs, combining a high performance CD player and pre amplifier in a single unit. Simply add Quad's Elite Stereo power amplifier, two Elite Mono power amps or Quad's Elite 909 along with speakers and you have a compact yet high performance, modern hi-fi system.

A Quad Elite system makes sense also due to the Quad Link and Amp Bus technology that allow you to connect components together, integrating a balanced audio signal and system commands, allowing you to control all components from a single remote control.
