Why will your headphones sound better through the Head Box MkII than through your amplifiers headphones output? Even on many high quality amplifiers, the headphones socket is an afterthought or "tick on the options list" and may not be optimised to drive hi-fi headphones. It may also share circuitry and power supply with the rest of the amplifier. In contrast, the Head Box MkII is a dedicated headphone amplifier optimised to drive your headphones properly, with a carefully designed circuit, enclosure and power supply, resulting in much better sound.

The Head Box MkII features a pair of RCA inputs. You can use it to listen to music from any source, including your iPod, mp3 player, laptop, Mac or PC (with suitable 3.5mm to RCA cable if needed) or any hi-fi source such as your CD player, tuner, turntable (with a phono stage inbetween), DVD player, blu ray player, etc. As a bonus the unit is small enough to fit almost anywhere and is also a perfect match for other Pro-Ject Box components, the smallest pire hi-fi separates available.
