Pro-Ject Ground It Deluxe 2 isolation platform (500W x 400D) is designed for larger turntables and hi-fi equipment, offering excellent isolation, finished in a subtle yet stylish piano black. Filled with granulate for universal damping properties, the shelf provides an extra level of isolation against external vibrations.

Whilst you should always place a turntable on top of a dedicated hi-fi rack or wall shelf, this isolation platform will provide an additional layer of isolation for a solid or suspended type turntable. The feet are adjustable, allowing you to ensure the platform is perfectly level (use a Roksan Bubble Level to check).

Interestingly, this is far from a solid platform. Reassuringly heavy at 11.6kg, the inside contains cut outs containing tightly packed 2mm steel balls to dampen vibrations. What are the sonic results of using such a platform? You should hear a noticeable reduction in background noise with improvements in smoothness and precision. Given the delicacy of any turntable set-up, proper placement and isolation is a must to enjoy the best sound from your vinyl. In this pursuit, the Ground It Deluxe comes highly recommended.
