PS Audio PerfectWave Power Plant 5 (P5) - now available at Audio Affair at 35% off RRP while stocks last - is PS Audio's second largest and most advanced AC power regenerator, a complete mains solution to deliver a pure supply to your hi-fi and home cinema for optimum performance. the P5 delivers 1000 watts of continuous power and a peak power of 50 amps.

At the core of the P5 is a high current analog amplifier that produces ultra low distortion, ultra low output impedance, and highly regulated new AC power for connected equipment. In contrast to many "mains filters" on the market that simply passively filter mains noise and RFI (radio frequency interference), the P5 uses MultiWave and CleanWave sine wave enhancement technologies to actually regenerate the sine wave and ensure your system receives an optimum 240V.

Why use the P5? Logically the energy (power) coming into your hi-fi or home cinema system, goes through the circuits and eventually results in the sound you hear. The old "junk in, junk out" principle applies, where if the system is given a substandard power supply, the system can not sound as good as it will with a pure power supply. Household appliances (fridges, freezers, etc) can affect the quality of the mains supply in your house. Even if you run a separate ring for your AV system, this can't help with RFI interference and the quality of the mains coming into your house after miles and miles of external power cables.
