W-Cone Drivers

In contrast to the standard cones used on the Focal CC 800 (which is itself is an impressive and class leading centre speaker), the W-Cone technology featured in this special edition gives perfectly mastered directionality, linearity, neutrality, gentleness and dynamics. This is an entirely refined and improved speaker and a perfect timbre match for other 800 series speakers but especially for other 800VW Special Edition speakers, including the Focal 806 VW SE speakers, Focal 826 VW SE speakers, Focal 836 VW SE speakers and SW 800 subwoofer, all of which are also on offer.

For more than 15 years this composite cone sandwich technology has been a Focal-JMlab exclusivity. The "W" process provides now a true optimisation of the frequency response and the "W" cone produces an extremely transparent and neutral sound free from coloration and distortions normally associated with loudspeakers. Its only limitation, the price; more than 10 x the price of a quality paper cone as featured on the standard CC800. Read more.
