The Epos M5i is the latest version of the highly regarded Epos M5, with a big sound that belies their compact dimensions. The M5i are excellent in both stereo systems (with a hi-fi amplifier, music system or iPod system with speaker outputs) and also sound great in a home cinema set-up as either front or rear speakers (ideally with M5i or M16i and M8i centre speaker). They are fully shielded (so you can place them next to your screen) and include a pair of removeable black speaker grilles..

High Quality Design

They feature a revised Epos 25mm (1 in.) low distortion metal dome tweeter, for smooth, clear extended treble. This tweeter features a strong die-cast aluminium alloy face plate, moulded surround, ferrite magnet and Ferrofluid cooling. The new Epos 140mm (5.5in.) mid-range woofer reproduces dynamic and natural mid-range frequencies and for strong, powerful bass, each speaker is loaded with a port flared at both ends.

Careful attention to detail and design has resulted in a balanced and accomplished sound quality. They are biwirable (accepting spades or banana plugs) and include high-grade metal links that join the terminals together for standard wiring (removable for biwiring). With the choice of Cherry, Red Cherry or Black high quality wood finishes, they are as stylish as they are stunning sonically. Highly recommended.

How do they sound?

As an improvement on the already impressive M5, this M5i model are some of the finest sounding bookshelf speakers we've listened to, bettered with deeper bass by the larger M12i speakers, but preferrable for those who want something that sounds equally stunning and a little more compact.

These speakers could always rival other models costing upward of £700 - both in sound and quality of the cabinets. At this price , they're a steal!
