Cyrus Audio CD8 SE2 (available in brushed black or quartz and on 0% finance) has received arguably more awards than any other CD player. It has been voted What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision CD player of the year in the UK and has numerous international Best-in Class awards. This accomplished CD Player features the highly advanced Cyrus SE2 ‘CD Engine’, plus a dual transformer power supply for a purer sound. It also incorporates a PSX-R socket so that it can be connected to the highly regulated Cyrus PSX-R power supply for additional musical resolution. 

The CD 8 SE2 incorporates the same low-contact precision slot loading CD drive as the Cyrus CDXT SE2 transport. The CD8 SE2 also benefits from Cyrus 2012 Servo Evolution optical data control systems that greatly improve the integrity of the data we read from the CD. Internally the power supply design features twin, custom made, transformers each feeding individual highly regulated power supplies which in turn feed the 11 separate sections of the player.

Options 

The CD 8 SE2's outstanding performance can be expanded further by adding a Cyrus PSX-R power supply, which will help reveal subtle details within the recording; this has to be heard to be fully appreciated. Initially a CD 8x would normally be partnered with an integrated amplifier the specially developed DAC circuitry provides outstanding performance. 

However it is also common for customers to update to the optional DAC X+ component, the CD 8 SE2 then operates as a CD transport. It is also possible to return your CD 8 SE2 to Audio Affair for us to arrange Cyrus to upgrade it to the ultimate CDXT SE2 CD transport spec, allowing you to incrementally and cost effectively upgrade to the finest CD system in the world. 

However configured, this player will produce stunning performance and, with the right speakers, an almost holographic 3D image. Cyrus’ CD platform is a clear example of our upgrade philosophy. Three Cyrus performance levels

Cyrus products are designed into three ranges 6, 8 and X series. The integrated amplifiers span 6 and 8 series to allow you to select exactly the features and performance for budget and system design, safe in the knowledge there are options available in future. The 8 series models can all connect with a PSX-R that will add both detail and dynamics to the amplifiers performance. There are even options to upgrade to the highest performance X Series. If you buy from 6 series or 8 series and you decide to upgrade, just call us. We'll quote you for the upgrade and make the necessary arrangements!
