Black Rhodium Green component video cable brings the very best picture quality to your screen over a component red-green-blue connection, available in a 1m or 3m length. Taking the performance level of component video cable to a higher echelon by employing a cable geometry that extends the signal bandwidth and reduces high frequency attenuation.

Green component video is based on a high performance low attenuation ‘industry standard’ design that has for many years been very successful for Black Rhodium as a high performance digital audio cable. Green component video is made from a solid core of Silver-plated Copper coated Steel insulated to 75 Ohms in low loss PTFE and screened in a Silver-plated Copper braid to protect the signal from extraneous noise and interference.

3 cores, identified by Red, Green and Blue markings on the plugs, are bound together in a sheath for ease of use. Green Component Video cable will delight you with the realism of the image on your screen. When you use it, you know that you have the best possible picture your home entertainment system can deliver.

Component video cables use 3 separate cables to carry the complex and delicate video signal to your screen. By using three cables, and the appropriate electronic circuitry, a much clearer and sharper picture can be obtained than by using a single ‘composite’ cable or S-Video cable. Compared with the cost of high quality screens the additional cable is very cost-effective in relation to the benefit gained in better picture quality. Black Rhodium Component Video Cables deliver clearer pictures with sharper images, resulting from Silver-plated wire and low loss PTFE insulation.

If you are using a high quality plasma or projector for your viewing, you will only gain the full benefit of the high resolution of the larger screen if you feed it a high quality signal. Unless you use a high quality cable, made from high quality materials, you will lose some of the detail in the complex electrical signal that goes to make up the picture on your screen. On the screen that loss of detail manifests itself in a less sharp image of the people and objects you are watching, with poorer contrast in the shading and less natural colours.
