Amazing... Only one flaw
by Sheyi on 20/12/2012 12:15 I bought these speakers for my university room after discovering how expensive others without amps would be... This has a built in amp and has been absolutely amazing... I have never even been able to raise the volume to max... Cause of my neighbours... But WOW... I love these soo much... It's only flaw is the pop sound it keeps making every 15-30min... But because of the sound quality I don't even mind... I use them with my airport express and they still have excellent sound although I don't know why they removed the plug on the device... But these niggles are nothing... These are the best for the price... 5 stars and thumbs up
fab!

No aux A/C outlet on A5+
by Svensonn on 19/10/2012 23:01 A bit misleading...A5+ no longer includes the aux A/c outlet socket that the A5's had which means you can't plug an Airport Express into the unit any longer. Want to buy these but think this is a huge feature downgrade!
They are Good
by Mark Pro. on 17/10/2012 18:21 I purchased these with the Audioengine D2 wireless DAC, to allow me to wirelessly stream music using an iMac with a budget for both products, and some Chord leads and speaker wire that could not exceed £850, I am very happy. The convenience of being to use an iPad wirelessly to access music on my Mac is worth every penny. Classical, to rock music, sounds quite amazing with this setup. Most of my music I have purchased from iTunes, and it sound fantastic, even compared to non-compressed WAV files. For under a £1000, its probably the best wireless setup, using these speakers. The Bamboo A5s look amazing, excellent build quality, plus sound too! Highly recommended for a wired or wireless system. Audioaffair is highly recommend also for their level of service and customer care.
Bangin...
by Martyn on 18/09/2012 22:24 Very pleased so far. Have them on stands about 2m apart but only 6 inches from a wall, shoudl be more I know. I have a squeezebox touch feeding them with either FLAC or Spotify. Delighted with the sound, as other reviews they have prominent bass which I like and really come to life when volume is lifted (when the Mrs is out). Big improvement on my Mission 760i and 20yr old Denon amp. Look neat and modern also, build quality impressive.
More than computer speakers
by Max on 15/09/2012 16:22 I use these as my stereo. You can plug your itunes (lap top/ipod etc) in and they fill the room beautifully. Maximum volume is way more than you'll ever need. They look amazing in white, and if you plug in an airport express you can do it all wirelessly. My only issue (and it's not the speakers fault) is that my expensive Samsung TV denies you access to the equaliser when using external speakers so although they'd be great TV speakers too, I can't adjust the base etc. I'll ditch the TV before I ditch the speakers.
Top speakers
by Kuma on 20/08/2012 09:55 Very happy with these speakers, good clear sound with plenty of punch, you definitely notice where the extra money went! Build quality is incredibly solid, nothing looks cheap or mass produced, there are no corners cut! I will point out that although these are described as "desktop" speakers they are quite large and heavy, much bigger than I expected.

by Marc on 24/07/2012 01:05 These are bar none the best active speakers I have heard under 500 quid and sound punchy with fine clarity these rock with the best of them. Nicely packaged too with good care to whats included. Use mine to play music through my PC via iTubes and they sound great Click here to write a review
