The Accustic Arts Drive 1 Mk2 (available on 0% finance) is a unique top-loading high end CD transport, carefully designed to offer reference level performance for an outboard DAC. The most important role of a separate CD transport is to extract information from the CD accurately and output a well timed digital signal for outboard DAC processing. This transport has been designed with this aim in mind. Uniquely, the drive mechanism, power components, digital signal processing and display control are each contained within individually shielded separate compartments.

CDs are positioned in the drive using an exceptionally precise clamper, whereby the integrated magnet inside the clamper guarantees ideal pressing and smooth running. The drive is a CDM Pro 2 LF module with cast metal frame and mechanical decoupling. A generously dimensioned magnetically shielded toroidal core transformer (75 VA) offers optimum smoothing thanks to 45,000 µF power supply capacity.

Alongside separate compartments for each stage, 4 separate, generously dimensioned power supply units are included to feed laser control, digital signal processing, display control and display heating. With premium quality relays, an extremely fine digital output stage and professionally designed RCA/XLR/BNC outputs, the Drive 1 Mk2 has been designed to extract every last drop of musical information from your CDs.
